sovay: (Lord Peter Wimsey: passion)
My poems "Homeric Hymn to Demophoon" and "Soli Invicto" are now online at Goblin Fruit. They should be more or less self-explanatory. Of their bramble and ballad compatriots, I particularly recommend Erik Amundsen's "Feather, Halo, Hook and Line," Shweta Narayan's "Triumph XII: Tapah," Joshua Gage's "Argot," Rose Lemberg's "Godfather Death," and Mike Allen's "Reynard the Revenant"; it's a good autumnal issue. I am very taken with the banner illustration, which reminds me of Aubrey Beardsley.

In addition to butter-pies, the sea, and sparkly goth kitties, my birthday also brought me Not One of Us #42, in which my poem "Phersu"—for Vanth—appears alongside Patricia Russo's "Palava," J.C. Runolfson's "The Ocean's Daughter Takes a Lover," Adrienne J. Odasso's "Queen of May," and Eugene Mirabelli's "Love in Another Language," to name a few. As soon as there is an appropriate link, I will post it. This issue's theme is communication: let the stories talk to you. You might be surprised what talks back.

It is brighter and cold outside. The maple's leaves are yellowing. Half this season is air, anyway.
