Tell me, love, who am I fighting for?
On the one hand, I am tired to the point where I want a refund on the entire concept of sleep and trying to write about a movie with a head full of tapioca—both mine and the movie's, really. On the other hand,
spatch just presented me with the Kino Lorber Blu-Ray of the legendarily queer Technicolor noir Desert Fury (1947), which I have wanted to see for pre-pandemic ages, and I am enjoying the local hibiscus.

I was almost 100% sure that I hadn't seen "Desert Fury", so I looked it up, and it's *yet* another example of a movie I saw with a wildly different title and never knew the original one! It's been quite a while since I saw it, so I didn't remember that it was in Technicolor! XD I do remember that John Hodiak was great in it... and it was probably one of the first movies that first made me notice Wendell Corey (after "The indiscrete window", and the one where he and Montgomery Clift co-parent a little boy! <3
ETA: I meant "Rear window", not "Indiscrete window", of course--my English apparently signed off for the weekend! XD And "Desert Fury" was called something like "The daughter of sin" in the version I saw. And the movie where Wendell Corey and Montgomery Clift co-parent a little boy is called "The search", but the dubbed version called it "The lost angels".

I have never seen that film, but what a cast!
Wishing you better sleep.

(I looked up whether or not you can get a refund on the entire concept of sleep, but I think it's just one of those they make you put on the store card and then you just have to spend it on the same thing, you know how it goes. ♥)

There's a hibiscus next to my front door, though not so ecstatically pink as this one.

It is a lovely hibiscus, and I hope the entire concept of sleep stops being refund-worthy soon. <3
